Directing Improv Workshop

Directing Improv Workshop

**This is a virtual class in Zoom.

This 6 week-course will focus on performative directing and give students hands-on experience on directing during shows, including side-coaching, scene-setting, and course correction, with a focus on delighting your players and the audience. While we will be focusing on directing Narrative improv, almost everything here is applicable to directing scenes in general. This is a unique skill, and acquiring it will teach you to adopt a big-picture view of the scene-work in general that is also applicable to great effect in your own performing work. Classes will run once a week for 2 hour for six weeks, limit 12 students. (Prerequisites: At least one level of Narrative Improv/Narrative Intensive through the Hideout, or equivalent narrative improv experience.)

The instructor for this class is Caeriel Crestin.

Check the registration drop-down at the top of the page for upcoming sessions, and don’t forget the Hideout Theatre is in Central Time. When you register you will receive a Zoom link.
