Level Six w/ Kenny Madison (six weeks)

Instead of learning new rules, it’s time to break the ones you know!

In this class, we’ll sample an appetizer platter of improv styles, then build a NEW form that reflects what you and your classmates want to say.

This is an advanced scene study class, exploring advanced techniques and strategies for getting out of your own way, keeping the audience in the palm of your hand, making strong choices in games, scenes and longer formats, and recognizing the difference between genuine delight and politely muddling through. Level Four includes a strong direct feedback component.

Have fun, meet new people and learn to improvise in the Hideout’s low-pressure classes. This six-week workshop is designed for anyone who wants to loosen up, be more spontaneous and learn to take risks on stage and in life.

Chris Moody’s Emotional Breakdown workshop (2.5 hrs)

This workshop exercise will use emotion, music, and physicality to force you to communicate without speaking. During the three-minute song, participants will be asked to covey the Who, the Where and What of a scene by using only movement, feelings and object work. This is a performance based exercise that will provide helpful tips to improve your nonverbal communication.
