Improv Diagnostics: Identifying and Tackling Common Scene work Challenges
*A free workshop for BIPOC improvisers
with Alfred Chow
Sunday, August 13, 3-5:30pm (2.5 hours)

In this 2.5hr workshop, we delve deep into the intricacies of scene work in improv and equip you with the tools to overcome common challenges that improvisers face. Through a combination of exercises and group discussions, you will gain valuable insights into the most common stumbling blocks encountered in scene work. Examples include: “getting stuck” in a scene, when the flow of ideas seems to come to a halt and leaving you unsure of what to do next, the feeling of not being on the same page as your scene partner, and the pressure that often accompanies the beginning of scenes.

Participants are encouraged to email any questions they may have before the workshop, whether related to scene work, being on an improv team, show production, or any other aspect of improv. I will make it a priority to address these questions and provide answers during the workshop, ensuring that your specific inquiries are covered and that you leave with valuable insights tailored to your needs.
