Welcome to the world of “What We Do in the Rainbows,” a whimsical improvised journey into a magical realm where you can witness the everyday lives of extraordinary creatures. Every Saturday in August at 7:30pm, The Hideout Theatre will transport you to a vibrant fantasy land, brimming with queer, quirky creatures and colorful characters.
This delightful mockumentary-style show blends character monologues, observed scenes, and cutaway interviews so you can see what the lives of faeries, unicorns, elves (and more) are really like! Do wizards get stuck in traffic? Do sprites hate their jobs? Inspired by the works of Taika Waititi and Christopher Guest, “What We Do in the Rainbows” offers a unique, queer, hilarious perspective on high fantasy.
Co-directors Caeriel Crestin and Martha Neil have crafted an experience that will spark joy and leave you smiling. As Caeriel shares, “My favorite part is seeing the show evolve and grow… becoming something cooler than any of us imagined.”
Join us for an evening of earnest whimsy and magical delight. Let your imagination soar as our talented improvisers bring this extraordinary world to life. Don’t miss this opportunity to witness the weird and wonderful collide in a heartwarming, laughter-filled adventure.
