A Hideout Theatre Fundraiser Workshop w/ Dave Razowsky

Proceeds will help to keep The Hideout going while we patiently wait to re-open.

Dave has generously offered to teach this workshop as a fundraiser to help The Hideout while our physical stages have to stay empty.

**Participant Spots are sold out, but we have opened a handful of spots to Audit the workshop (which means joining the Zoom but then turning off your camera and microphone and not commenting in the chat–observing only).

This workshop is designed to make your improv experience joyful, surprising, engaging, and transformative. Learn why so many improviser have said, “I never knew it could be so easy to create great scenes.”

The focus of Pinpoint Point of View is to learn how to use shape – also known as “body language” – to determine your point of view, and to hold onto it. It is the single most important element of a strong and focused scene.

This workshop will teach you to:

• Recognize emotional connections.
• Establish strong points of view.
• Create scenes you’ve never seen or played before.
• See the world in a different way.
Come join us and see why actors have called this methodology “freeing,” “exhilarating,” “inspiring,” and “artistically refreshing.”

“David Razowsky…will inspire you to consider every breath, movement, eye blink, touch, and word in a scene. He will inspire you to become the actor you never thought you were and show you that in the first second of an improv scene, you already have everything you need.” -Isla Suddek

David co-created 10 revues at Chicago’s Second City performing with the likes of Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Amy Sedaris, and Rachel Dratch. He is the former Artistic Director of The Second City Hollywood, and has conducted countless workshops worldwide. His TEDx Talk, “Life: The Product is the Process,” has inspired thousands. David’s developed a simple approach to improvising: “Your present awareness is the only thing you need to create compelling, smart, truthful, and surprising scenes. Period. No games, no preconceived premises, no ideas, no ego. All that matters is now. The actor’s level of improvisation experience doesn’t matter, for all you’ll need to bring to my workshop is your present presence. All you’ll leave with is your joy and excitement and confidence.”
