[Saturday, November 13, 3-5pm at the Hideout Theatre downtown]

How often have you had a conversation with someone who doesn’t perform improv, and after describing it to them they reply with ‘I would be too scared to do that’ or ‘There’s no way I would do that’. Did you ever think ‘why’ they feel that way, and what changed in you to NOT feel that? Or better yet, why does that thought sometimes get in your head after all these years performing?

In this workshop, Josh Tariff will work with you on showing different emotions on stage while getting to the bottom of what you’re feeling approaching the stage, during a scene and the aftermath. Everyone feels something different, so how can you emphasize your feelings to make the best scene possible?

Josh Tariff has been a staple in the Los Angeles improv scene as a performer and host since 2006. Over the years, he has hosted over 1,000 shows, performed on countless stages and has performed and taught in various festivals such as the Improvaganza Hawaii Festival of Improv, the Alaska State Improv Festival, The San Jose Improv Festival and The Los Angeles Improv Comedy Festival. Josh’s main improv shows include ‘TackleBox’ with his improv partner BJ Lange, ‘____ & Josh’ and his wrestling themed improv talk show ‘Cut That Promo’.
