Jon Bolden is an improvisational actor and director living in Austin, TX. He moved to Austin in 2006, bringing his theatrical background to the city’s booming improv scene. In 2012, he co-directed Manhattan Stories: Improvised Woody Allen. More recently, he created and directed Nothing and Everything: Improvised Anton Chekhov Plays which won the 2015 B. Iden Payne awards for “Best Production” and “Best Director” in the improvisational categories.. He also performs weekly with the group, Bad Boys, at ColdTowne Theater. Outside of Texas, he’s been lucky enough to teach theatrical workshops in Japan, Washington, DC, Alaska, Rhode Island, Seattle, and Oklahoma. He currently is a co-producer of The Out of Bounds Comedy Festival, Austin’s oldest and largest comedy festival.
His favorite project is Squirrel Buddies, a two-person improv project with Parallelogramophonograph’s Roy Janik, which focuses on positivity.
