F Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald Save The World

“…my face and sides hurt from laughing non-stop for a solid 90 minutes at F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald Save the World.  Absolutely f%#&$ BANANAS – hilarious!” Audience Feedback

What happens when 6 luminaries of the Austin improv and comedy scene get together to do whatever the hell they want? They blow off steam in the most absurd high-brow/low-brow comedy of the year.

Kaci Beeler as Zelda Fitzgerald

In F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald Save The World!, the famously dysfunctional literary couple continue their side-career as mercenaries and assassins for hire in the mysterious world of international espionage in the Jazz Age 1920s, where all notable artists and intellectuals are multi-talented friends or foes to the Fitzgeralds, and automatons, time machines, secret amulets, and ancient curses are all in a day’s work. This time, however, our unreliable (and probably drunk) protagonists Zelda (Kaci Beeler) and F. Scott (Curtis Luciani) are in over their heads!

Inspired by the NeoFuturist’s Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind, classic spy films, and seizure-inducing anime, F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald Save The World! is part improvised play, part character-driven sketch comedy, with a dash of interactive game show thrown into the mix.

Curtis Luciani as author F. Scott Fitzgerald

Will a parkour chase determine the world’s fate? Is Ernest Hemingway going to play 7 minutes in Heaven with Joan Crawford? How much k-pop did Kaci force into the show?

These questions and more will be answered in every one of our 8 performances at The Hideout Theatre, 8:30pm, Thursday through Sunday, April 17th – April 27th (two weekends only!).

“I’ve seen a lot of live comedy and improv shows over the years, but this might take the cake as the most fun show I’ve ever seen. Stomach-hurts-tears-in-your-eyes laughter, awesome characters, outrageous story. Go see it, you’ll have a blast.”Audience Feedback
