The Hideout is sending two of it’s pulpiest, darkest mainstage shows to The Alaska State Improv Festival. To help the cast with travel expenses, The Hideout is putting on a special encore performance of both shows.

First is The Black Vault:

The verbose, antiquated, creepy world of H.P. Lovecraft will provide a delightfully macabre world for the talented cast of The Hideout to play in.

Woeful, insane narrators will take audiences on journeys through a wide chaotic universe, filled with being of unspeakable power which are at best unfeeling and at worst malevolent towards the creatures crawling on the surface of the bubble of protoplasm we call The Earth.

Second is Strange Worlds:

The Hideout Theatre invites you to enter a world of two fisted justice and wide eyed wonder, a world of weird menace and mad science, a world of pulse-pounding peril and thrilling adventure!

Welcome to Strange Worlds, an improvised pulp hero anthology. Inspired by such iconic characters as The Shadow and Doc Savage, each week of Strange Worlds presents a double feature of thrilling tales set in a simpler time of heroes and villains, marvels and monsters.

So come out and support local theatre and help spread Austin’s cultural gold to the frozen north!
