Austin City Life is a community of people seeking to live redemptively in Austin and beyond by renewing our city spiritually and socially with the gospel of Jesus. We are against religion which says “I obey, therefore I am accepted by God” and for the true and comforting news of Jesus which says “I am accepted, therefore I obey.” As a result, we are imperfectly trying to live in redemptive grace, not by rule-keeping legalism.

In Jesus, we know that God is for us, not against us. God is, in fact, for the whole world, for people and culture. All peoples need meaningful relationships with one another and with Christ, and all cultures contain and disdain truth, beauty and virtue. We exist to cultivate what is good, beautiful and true through Christ-centered community in order to demonstrate the worth of our city, our world, and our God.

We meet on Sundays at 10am for worship and teaching at The Hideout Theater downtown 617 Congress Avenue where we are cultivating redemptive community that is missionally focused.
