This is the only improv happening in Austin on Saturday, December 30.
Once a year all the improvisers in Austin come together for one gigantic show in celebration of the city we live in and the art form we love. Same Year's Eve Improv Extravaganza throws together players from over 17 local troupes in a spectacular exhibition of improv comedy. There will be games based on audience suggestions, scenes based on audience suggestions and longform musical improvised stories based on audience suggestions. Come be a part of the audience.
After the show there's a free party with food and drink.
Same Year's Eve is hosted by the Austin Improv Collective, blowing up the Austin improv scene to epic proportions; the Heroes of Comedy, performing Maestro, Gorilla, Start Trekkin' and a bunch of other shows on any given Saturday at The Hideout Theatre in downtown Austin; and ColdTowne Theater, Austin's newest improv venue on Airport Blvd. next to I Luv Video.
