Available Cupholders presents RETURN TO FORMS

Every Saturday, Available Cupholders will debut a new format for their full-length Mainstage run at The Hideout. 4 new formats, for 4 Saturdays. Our roots are in experimenting with form, so we'd like to hit that shiz again. Remniss, foole.

Jan 6 - SHOT IN THE DARK - Ever read the "Shot in the Dark" listings in the back of the Chronicle? It's prime missed connection love story fodder. The Cupholders will vignette these story buds into gorgeous comedy flowers. wow, sorry about that. anyway.
Jan 13 - HUGE CLOCK - Ever see that improv game Half Life? Well, we're going to do a Half Life longform. We improvise a one act play then replay it in half the time, then replay the halved play in half the time ad infinitum, ad nauseum.
Jan 20 - CONFESSIONS - Think reality TV style interviews. Someone not in the group is going to go out and interview some folks and edit together the best of the interviews that we'll use to inspire some stories. good stuff, yes.
Jan 27 - CRASS MENAGERIE (film stylie) - The Cupholders film the beginnings of a few short films. We show the beginnings of these stories at the show and the audience votes on which one they want to see improvised to completion. Okay, so this format isn't new but it's so old, it's new again.
