This two-day intensive workshop combines elements of Slapstick Comedy, Physical Comedy, and Character Development. Students will learn: a physical vocabulary; an ability to build characters through body placement; an understanding of specific movement styles, and the use of “clown” as a vehicle for performance.

BIO:
BEN SCHAVE and CAITLIN REILLY are the modern day version of vaudeville’s baggy-pants physical comedians. They found their training at Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Clown College and the Del’ Arte School of Physical Theatre and have performed for circus, commedia, fairs, festivals, cruise ships, and variety shows, in the U.S. and abroad. They have taught across the country for theatrical groups, schools, colleges, and privately since 1998.
