On January 4th, The University of Texas football team, after a first-ever
undefeated season will play in the Rose Bowl against the number 1 ranked
team in the nation, The University of Southern California. The winner
will be the National Champion. Something UT football hasn't done since
1969.
As if the historical significance of this game were not enough, providing
comedy play-by-play and color commentating for the live broadcast will be
the Los Angeles bound comedy duo of Jeremy (Bearded) Lamb and Mike
(Underscore) D'Alonzo. An additional team of extremely talented
improvisers (Erika May, Chris Trew, Bill Stern, Phil Aulie, and Mike
Joplin) will be at hand providing new dialogue and music for the live
commercials as well as sideline reports and cheerleading from the
crowd.
Halftime will bring live music from the smooth Nascent stylings of Adam
Hilton and a special surprise gift giveaway (hint: It's a sweet
embroidered pillow from the 70s.) There will also be hot dog and beer
vendors roaming the crowd, quick with sustenance and maybe even
pretzels.
And it will all be hilarious.
If you hate football and love comedy, this show is for you.
If you love football and hate comedy, this show is also for you.
If you love them both, you may die of joy.
If you hate them both, you're probably not from Texas and therefore not
welcome.
Come show your love for local sports and local comedy. We promise it will
be worth it.
Thanks,
Jeremy Lamb
