Opening up the body to take deeper breaths allows us to fully feel and experience authentic emotions. Yoga for Improv will create a stronger bridge between the mind and body, allowing for the emotional choices on stage to feel natural and effortless. The first half of this class will start with a yoga practice suitable for all levels, that focuses on the breath and fully feeling the physical and emotional body. The other half will be dedicated to improv exercises and scenes, allowing the student to access emotions on a new level.

Jessica Brooks has a BFA in Acting from Texas State University, and has been practicing improv for four years. She is one of the creators of the improv troupe, The Ladies Room, which performed at The Institution Theatre, The Seattle Festival of Improv Theatre, and will be performing this year at OOB in Austin. She has been teaching yoga professionally for 6 years, and has over 400 hours of yogic training. She is also a writer, performer, and producer for film.
