We’re setting up a special full-day Sunday workshop for all you Hideout students and improvisers who have been out of the loop for a while and are looking for that boost to get back in.
Starting at 10am on Sunday, June 30 we’ll warm up to the basic “rules” of improv, staring with HAVE FUN and then quickly move into the basics of strong scenework and game play. We’ll take an hour to hit a fun downtown location for lunch and drinking and then back to the improv for some advanced scenework and as much individual feedback and challenges as you’re up for. And then the Hideout will treat all of the students to a free drink in the newly reintegrated Hideout Coffeehouse.
Whether you’re just looking for a fun day of improv or to get back in the game in a major way, the goal for this alumni refresher is to give you a hit of pure delight and confidence that will springboard you back into improv with as little anxiety and self-consciousness as possible. Welcome back to your improv home.
**The instructor will be Andy Crouch, the Hideout’s education director since 2005.
