A Thanksgiving Week Note

Hi! Mike here. I wanted to take a moment in this season of Thanksgiving to extend the Hideout Theatre’s appreciation to the improv community and the larger community of Austin.
November, each year, brings with it many highlights: Thanksgiving, of course, Wafflefest, and the Austin Improv Collective (AIC) Family Picnic and Awards Banquet. This past Sunday, the AIC celebrated Shana Merlin, ColdTowne and the Hideout Theatre with a series of roasts and toasts. I was doubly honored to also receive an individual award for service to the community.
Design Director Tells All (about design stuff)
Kaci here! You may have seen some posts in the past about how I’m working as the Director of Design for the Hideout Theatre. Roy often posts about my set design work in real time (I send him iPhone pictures as I’m working on it). Today I’m going to talk a little bit about what of my job entails.

Exciting A Frame Updates!
The Hideout has a new A-Frame to put outside the theatre, and it’s super cool. We can easily pop in new posters. Here’s the poster we just got printed for Charles Dickens Unleashed!:
